Teen Decision is a nonprofit, healthy relationships education program serving suburban Chicago, Illinois. Our interactive presentations encourage students in grades 6-12 to think through, for themselves, the physical and emotional risks of sexual activity, and the relational and physical benefits of abstinence. We are a wholistic supplement to your healthy relationships program that touches on subjects such as dating violence, STDs, teen pregnancy, and life goals and skills.

Our Mission

Through healthy relationships education, parent support, and community collaboration, we seek to

  • help teens make relationship choices that reduce dating abuse, and improve their chance for a healthier, happier future.
  • prevent unplanned teen pregnancies
  • reduce STD transmission among teens

Our Programs

We send our speaker/educators to schools and community groups to conduct your choice of two to four class sessions, or 1.5+ hours in community settings. We focus on research-based healthy relationships content, sourcing some of our helpful content from How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk by Dr. John Van Epp of lovethinks.com. We reference medically accurate data on STDs and pregnancy from the CDC and National Institutes for Health and other respected health organizations and studies. Other programs include workshops for parents, and our parenting blog.

We are a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, nonprofit 501c3
