Teen Decision is seeking two part-time speakers. The Teen Decision program is invited into public and private school health classes (usually during their human sexuality unit) to teach healthy relationships, with abstinence as a key strategy. We speak to  thousands of middle and high school students every year. We seek to prevent unwanted pregnancy, STDs and unhealthy/abusive dating relationships.

This would be a great job for someone wanting part-time work, who can be available during school hours. We know the schedule months in advance. You could be speaking as little as 2 or as many as 4 days in a week, anywhere from 2 to 6 hours per day. Some weeks there are no schools scheduled. We pay $24-27 per hour depending on qualifications, and we  reimburse driving expenses. You will be trained by an experienced educator in the classroom. Our work is during the school year, so you have holidays and summers off! Effective communication skills are required, plus a fair amount of energy and an ability to connect with teens. You must have a valid driver’s license, and live close to DuPage County, which is central to the three-county area we reach. There is room for advancement for one of the speakers into a director role (also part-time) over the next couple of years.  If interested, please contact Tori at tori@teendecision.org.
